Steel Mantel Brackets provided bt “Sheppard Brackets” and allow for a fast and easy DIY install.
Up to a 300 pound load rating is achieved when 8 - 2.5" screws are attached stud/backer direct!
Step One: You will need a level, stud-finder, screwdriver (#2 square) & adhesive.
Step Two: Mark stud locations on wall using your stud-finder & a pencil.
Step Three: Place bracket on wall at desired location & check for level.
Step Four: Once level, use provided 2.5" screws and drive into stud locations - 2 screws per stud location is required.
Step Five: Required for permanent, solid install: Insert @ 1 oz. of construction adhesive into each hole.
Step Six: With even pressure slide the mantel onto the bracket. If additional support is needed, "toe-nail" using 6" trim screws from top, back edge of the mantel into wall at stud locales.
